How We Keep our Customer’s Safe from Covid-19

How We Keep our Customer’s Safe from Covid-19

For now, Neil Sue and Rose will be opening Meringue as a Shop and Take Away, we have not been exposed to any person tested positive for Coronavirus. We will be observing food industry hygiene standards; Meringue has a food hygiene rating of 5, and we all hold current food hygiene certificates.

We have been busy making relevant, necessary updates to the layout so thenext time you visit things will look a little different:

  • On entering the front door there will be a hand sanitising station.
  • There will be markers on the floor to implement social distancing whilst you are on the premises.
  • A member of the team, wearing gloves and a facial covering will collect all the items you wish to purchase and take them to the pay station at the back of the shop.
  • All payments will be taken behind a Perspex screen. We will be accepting cash; however, card and contactless payments are preferable.
  • Customers will then exit via the back door, in order to operate a one-way system.

We will be taking orders from Saturday 30th May via Answerphone on the Meringue line – 01246 277888 or via Facebook messenger on the ‘Meringue Bakery and Café’ Page. Please include: Name, Contact number, Date of Collection and Your Order and await a reply for confirmation + payment.

We have converted the driveway into an outdoor, sheltered collection point for customers that do not wish to enter the premises. You will given a specific collection time on confirmation.

We will be waiting with smiley faces to welcome all our lovely customers once again; we look forward to seeing you all soon!
